These are the dates there may be some conflicts. We will post more information as soon as we know specifics about dates and conflicts.

Registration Deadlines:

3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 7-9 Girls and 9-10

Online deadline is 10/23/2009

In-house deadline is 10/30/2009

10-12 Girls, 11-13, 13-17 Girls and 14-17

Online deadline is 11/6/2009
In-house deadline is 11/13/2009

Approximate Season Schedule:

3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 7-9 Girls and 9-10
Practices begin week of November 23,2009
Games begin week of December 5, 2009
Season will end approximately mid February

10-12 Girls, 11-13, 13-17 Girls and 14-17
Practices begin week of December 14, 2009
Games begin week of January 9, 2010
Season will end approximately the last week of February

Evaluations:

Evaluations will be held at the Alex W. Spears III Family YMCA.
No evaluations the following age groups: 3-4's, 5-6's, 7's and 7-9 Girls.

During evaluations, the players will be placed according to skill in either the Challenge or Recreational League. Due to team placement process, player and coach requests are more easily honored for age groups 3-4's through 7-9 girls than for age groups 8-9's and older. Refunds will not be granted nor changes made after teams assignments because the YMCA was unable to fulfill a request.

3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 7-9 Girls and 9-10's will be on November 21st

10-12 Girls, 11-13, 13-17 Girls and14-17 will be on December 12th

Program Information

Ages Groups :

Girls Only Divisions: 7-9, 10-12 and 13-17

Co-ed Divisions: 3-4's, 5-6's, 7-8, 9-10, 11-13 and 14-17

Select Divisions: (Competitive League) 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U

NEW Recreational, Challenge and Select Format:

To better differentiate our challenge & recreational leagues, the sports department will determine the placement of each participant based on their evaluation. Individuals unable to attend either evaluation time will automatically be placed on a recreational team. There will be fewer challenge teams this year than last, thus placing more players in the recreational division.

The challenge teams will play in the YMCA of Greensboro Challenge League; challenge teams will play other challenge teams from Spears, as well as challenge teams from Bryan, Ragsdale, & Hayes-Taylor YMCA. Some travel will be involved.

The select divisions will play in the YMCA of Greensboro Select League. The select divisions is a competitive division.

Costs:

$60 for YMCA Members

$85 for Non-Members

$5 discount on additional children in the same family. There will be a $20 Late Fee per application applied to all registrations received after deadline.

Games & Practice will be played at the Spears YMCA, Guilford Middle School and at Greensboro Academy.
