Registration Deadlines:

On-Line deadline is 8/08/2008
At the branch deadline is 8/15/2008

Approximate Season Schedule:

Practices begin week ofSeptmber 01,2008
Games begin week of Septmber 08, 2008
Season will end approximately the Mid November.

The 5 & 6 Years Old will play 8 games. The 7 & 8 Years Old, 9 - 11 Years Old and the 12 - 14 Years Old will play 7 games plus a single elimination tournament.

YMCA Sports Philosophy

The YMCA of Greensboro believes that youth and their families can benefit from participation in sports where the emphasis is placed on fun, fitness, and fair play. Under the guidance of dedicated staff and volunteer leadership, the goal is to provide a quality experience that will not only develop individual athletic skill, but also Christian values, self-esteem, and an understanding that there are many ways to win. All sport activities are open to boys and girls. We hope the program will provide a learning experience for all participants based on the practice of athletes first, winning second.

Program Information

Age Groups:

There will be 4 age groups: 5 & 6 Years Old, 7 & 8 Years Old, 9 -11 Years Old and 12 - 14 Years Old.

All age groups are Co-ed.

Costs:

$60 for YMCA Members

$85 for Non-Members

$5 discount on additional children in the same family. There will be a $15 Late Fee per application applied to all registrations received after deadline.

Location of Practices and Games:

Each team will practice one night a week at the Alex W. Spears III Family YMCA or Guilford Day School and games will be played on Saturdays at one of the following locations: Alex W. Spears III Family YMCA, Guilford Day School, Jamestown Athletic Park and Aycock Middle School.
