Child watch is the YMCA’s “babysitting” service.

YMCA members’ children may be checked into the center for a maximum of two hours per visit. Parents must remain in the facility.

The cost is $1 per hour and can be purchased at the front desk in increments from $1 up to a $20 card.  Cards can be kept on file in the child watch center.

Child Watch Policies

The Alex W. Spears III Family YMCA has care available for your child(ren) ages 3 months to 12 years old while you work out and are getting healthier.  The cost for Child Watch is $1.00 / hour per child.  Please note the following policies:

  • Child Watch is for members ONLY !
  • Please purchase Child Watch hours at the front desk prior to bringing your child(ren) to Child Watch.
  • Please sign your child(ren) in and out and make sure to leave your membership card with the Child Watch Staff.
  • Your child(ren) should not be left for more than 2 hours and you must remain in the building at all times.
  • Please do not bring sick children to Child Watch.
  • Please inform Child Watch Staff of any allergies and medical conditions.

Please keep snacks to a minimum because of allergies and other children not having snack.

Guests of members must purchase Child Watch hours at the front desk prior to bringing their child(ren) to Child Watch.

Summer 2008 Childwatch Hours

Childwatch 1 Room (ages: 3 months-3 years)

June 1st-September 1st

Mon - Thurs

8 am - 1:30 pm and 3 - 8 pm

Friday 8 am - 1:30 pm and 3 - 7 pm
Saturday 8 am - noon
Sunday n/a

 

Childwatch 2 Room (ages: 4 years-6 years)

June 9-September 1st

Mon - Friday

9:00 am-12:00 pm
