Upcoming Events and Trips

The YMCA of Greensboro seeks to serve a diverse population of ages. Across all seven of our branches, we serve a large population of active older adults. Because of this we seek to offer activities to continue to be successful serving you! We look forward to having you participate in our events and trips! If you have an idea of a good group trip or activity please us know. Check back for more upcoming events!

BRYAN YMCA

  • July: July 21st 12 Noon - 1:00pm - The Senior Advantage: The great Real Estate and financial advantages to being over 55. The Bryan YMCA is continuing its Brown Bag Lunch Series with the Senior Advantage Team. We will have 6 experts to talk about how to gain the real estate and financial advantage when you are over 55+.  We will have a 30 minute presentation and then a Q&A session with the experts. Please register at the front desk by July 12th.

MAY

Activity: “Closing Celebration/Picnic at Charlotte Hawkins Brown Memorial Site” (Sedalia, NC)

Below are some ongoing AOA events and where they are located:

  • Hayes-Taylor YMCA has The Golden Jewels meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:30AM in the Dudley Room.  Please contact Andrea Wright at 336-272-2131 for more details.
  • Spears Family YMCA offers a Men's Bible Study every Thursday, 6:30AM-7:30AM in the Spears Family YMCA Childwatch Room 2. If you are interested, please join the group to study the Word and explore how it impacts day-to-day life. The contact person for the Bible Study is member, Don McClellan



We Build People Events

                             

                                     Chick-Fil-A Nights

The first Monday of every month is YMCA night at the Brassfield Chick-Fil-A. Just ask the cashier to put your receipt in the "YMCA box" and the Y will receive 15% of your purchase towards the We Build People campaign.

The Cow will visit the YMCA for Chick-Fil-A night also! Come play with the Cow then eat Chick-Fil-A on the first Monday of every month!
