The YMCA of Greensboro seeks to serve a diverse population of ages. Across all seven of our branches, we serve a large population of active older adults. Because of this we seek to offer activities to continue to be successful serving you! We look forward to having you participate in our events and trips! If you have an idea of a good group trip or activity please us know.

The YMCA of Greensboro would like to thank all our donors and volunteers who participated in the 2008 Bright Beginnings program.
Soon we will begin fundraising for the 2009 Bright Beginnings season. Keep your eyes peeled for volunteer and funding opportunities!
Below are some pictures from our 2008 Bright Beginnings Program. Without your help and support, we would not have been able to take so many children shopping for school clothes and supplies. Thank you again!:

The first Monday of every month is YMCA night at the Brassfield Chick-Fil-A. Just ask the cashier to put your receipt in the "YMCA box" and the Y will receive 15% of your purchase towards the We Build People campaign.
The Cow will visit the YMCA for Chick-Fil-A night also! Come play with the Cow then eat Chick-Fil-A on the first Monday of every month!
2008 Annual We Build People Campaign
The 2008 annual We Build People campaign will kick off in January. We will begin our 5th year of raising money for We Build People, the YMCA's charitable fund that allows us to offer financial assistance for membership and programs, keeping the YMCA affordable for all. Our goal in 2008 is to raise $102,000 for We Build People!
If you would like to volunteer as a fundraiser for our We Build People Campaign, please contact Kristi Simpson-Harden or Lesley Watts.
The Spears Family YMCA accepts close to 150 Salvation Army Angel Tree participants every year for our members to adopt. Look for our Angel Trees to go up in the lobby around the end of October. Please help us serve all the children and seniors on our tree!
